Below you will find a list of frequently asked questions related to hiring our Village Hall.  Have a read through and if you still have questions, please get in touch with us via the Committee page.

  • How do I make a booking for the Hall?
    You can book our hall(s) online through this website or contact Rachel Clark our Bookings Coordinator on email bookings@pitcairngreen.net
  • Who sets the hall up?
    Groups are responsible for setting out and tidying away tables and chairs.
  • Where can I find the tablewear?
    Stored in kitchen and Hall cupboards.
  • What is the maximum capacity?
    The maximum capacity of the premises is 70 persons at an event in the main hall; 30 persons at an event in the back hall; or 100 persons in total if both halls are hired for the same event. Please do not exceed this. When setting up please allow one metre passageways to aid fire evacuation.
  • What if I have to cancel my event?
    Cancellation of Bookings of less than 4 hrs require 24hrs notice, if more that 4hrs 7 days notice, otherwise the full rate will be charged. All charges are calculated to the nearest half hour. However, a minimum charge of £10.00 applies. The rental time applies from the time of entry to the hall to the time of departure. The Caretaker must be informed of the arrival and departure of groups.
  • Can we use a bouncy castle inside the hall?
    Yes, it is possible to inflate a bouncy castle in the front hall. We recommend A1 Bouncy Castle Hire (Almondbank - 07565 706446) who have supplied bouncy castles in the past.
